Cupertino wineries…..bust

So the Fan4 went out up into the hills of Cupertino for a little wine exploration. Yea we could have stayed in our backyard and opened a bottle of any of our wines and been happier. Aside from the beautiful views we were not to impressed. Ridge was over priced and although we did take home two bottles of wine none of us were “wowed”. All the wines were soft and subtle but kinda tasted the same. Next!
Second stop Picchetti. To be honest it was more impressive just because they had more of a variety. With that said I didn’t care for most of it; but still they have a variety. My fav was their 2011 Sangiovese. Tasty but way over priced. It’s a 20$ bottle selling at 39.95!
So all in all it was a gorgeous day with beautiful views and as Brax says “we are wine tasting…..which means it’s a good day”.

Discretion Brewery

This a an absolute must! The beer is not only amazing but they have organic food that is so tasty you will never want to leave! My favorite beer is the IPA Uncle Daves. I am not an IPA beer drinker and this beer is so good and flavorful that I could drink it by the gallon. As the days pass they are adding more and more tasty bites and new beers! So if your around 41st ave…..heck if your anywhere near Santa Cruz this is a must seek and try.

Fabulous B&B

After our few days of tasting in the Finger Lakes Doc and I took a road trip to visit more family in Vermont. I booked a B&B on the web prior to our arrival. We were throughly pleased and delighted with my choice! Dream Country Inn is owned and run by Sue and George. Right from the start you feel welcome and at home. Beautiful views with a ton of trees and little areas to relax around the porch. The bed was huge and like a big comfy inviting marshmallow! They truly go out of their way to make your stay exceptional. Part of the amazing experience is Sue’s breakfasts. She is a foodie with great cooking talent! I can not say enough about our stay. If you are ever in Vermont this is a MUST stay!
