\"\"<\/a>What wine did you serve for Christmas Dinner?\u00a0 The meal is carefully thought out.\u00a0 The in-laws are in town.\u00a0 Your wife and mother-in-law spend two days preparing for the main event.\u00a0 Now, the table is set and the turkey is carved.\u00a0 Everyone has gathered to fellowship and celebrate this occasion that only comes once a year.\u00a0 What wine are you going to serve??<\/p>\n

I have to admit I am pretty lucky.\u00a0 My wife and mother-in-law are fabulous cooks.\u00a0 I actually had to put some thought into the wine selection, which I admit was kinda fun.\u00a0 Everyone’s palate is different so hmmm what to choose, what to choose?\u00a0 My wife put together a cheese and salami plate, crab mold,\u00a0 and brie. I chose Starr Ranch 2011 Gypsy Rose. It’s\u00a0crisp, light, fruity and paired\u00a0well with the cheeses.<\/p>\n

For the main event I invited Kukkula\u00a0wines to sit at our table.\u00a0 We started the meal off with the 2010 Sisu, fruit forward and\u00a0smokey.\u00a0 We followed that with the 2010 Lothario, fruity,\u00a0a little peppery with\u00a0light tannens.\u00a0 After\u00a0half-\u00a0time we went for seconds and I opened the 2009 Aatto.\u00a0 My personal favorite.\u00a0 It is a mouth full of fruit forward happiness. Great on its own and even better with a stuffing sandwich.<\/p>\n

Let’s not forget dessert, pumpkin\u00a0and apple pie.\u00a0 Most of my family members aren’t port drinks but I am.\u00a0 I opened a\u00a0 Thomas Kruse Port.\u00a0It is not thick like a lot of Ports yet its 19% alcohol.\u00a0 A very nice finish to a wonderful\u00a0day with family.<\/p>\n
