Challengers are lined up<\/p><\/div>\n

\"1391463_1426580644220916_142933016_n\"<\/a>The first Santa Clara Valley Ros<\/span>\u00e9 Challenge\u00a0 was held at the Dolce Hayes Masion in San Jose California.\u00a0 A special thanks to Heather Moggia and the Dolce Hayes Mansion for their hospitalilty.\u00a0 The tables were set and the wine was chilled. The challengers were Thomas Kruse Winery, Aver Family Vineyard, Sycamore Creek Vineyard, Guglielmo Winery, Clos\u00a0LaChance Winery, Solis Winery, Jason Stephens Winery.\u00a0 One of the things I like most about Ros<\/span><\/span>\u00e9 is that they are truly like a box of chocolates.\u00a0 Each one is so different.\u00a0 Some of the wines were single varietals and others were blends.\u00a0 We lined them up head to head to see which wine makers inspiration would be most popular with our diverse group of participants.<\/p>\n

We asked everyone to rank the wines from their most favorite to their least favorite.\u00a0 The results were;\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

First Place<\/span>:\u00a0 Solis Winery received the most First place votes followed by Aver Family and Thomas Kruse.<\/p>\n

Jason Stephens received the most\u00a0Second\u00a0place votes followed by Solis and Sycamore Creek.<\/p>\n

Clos\u00a0LaChance received the most\u00a0Third place votes\u00a0followed by Thomas Kruse and a tie between Guglielmo and Jason Stephens.<\/p>\n

Over all;\u00a0 Solis received the most total votes followed by Jason Stephens, Thomas Kruse, Sycamore Creek, Aver, Guglielmo and Clos\u00a0Lachance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It appears this group was drawn towards the sweeter ros\u00e9s in\u00a0the challenge.\u00a0 A good time was had by all and we look forward to the next challenge.\u00a0<\/p>\n
